Connect Four
Classic 4-in-a-row strategy game with local 2-player and AI modes
Connect Four is the deceptively simple grid game that has launched a thousand math papers - and it's been solved (the first player wins with perfect play, if they start in the middle column). Drop colored discs into a 7x6 vertical grid; the first to line up four in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally wins. This version offers local two-player and three AI difficulties. Easy is a forgiving sparring partner, Medium punishes obvious mistakes, and Hard plays close to optimal - beating it is genuinely satisfying. The honest path to improvement is learning to set up double threats: two ways to win that your opponent can only block one of. Three minutes per round, infinite replay value if you treat each match as a puzzle.
